Three skyscrapers out of one glass box

Hampton HouseDevelopers St James are losing no time in turning the 10-storey Hampton House on Albert Embankment into three Norman Foster towers, one of 26 storeys, a second of 23 and a third of maybe 15.

You can see the story so far at an exhibition in the Vauxhall Christian Centre at 105 Tyers Street on Saturday 14 July (10am-1pm) and Wednesday 18 July (5pm-8pm).

Hampton House, long empty, is at 20-21 Albert Embankment, next to the Park Plaza Hotel.St James acquired the now-disused office building with a planning permission in February this year but is still fine-tuning this mixed-use development in talks with Lambeth.


The Vauxhall Society is the civic consultative group covering the London parliamentary constituency of Vauxhall, which extends from north of Waterloo to Brixton, Clapham, and Stockwell and Vauxhall, as well as the neighbouring districts of Southwark and Wandsworth.
