The campaign to knock down Battersea Power Station in part or whole gathers pace, with Wandsworth Council apparently in favour. According to The Londonist, Sir Terry Farrell, the Mayor’s design adviser, seeks planning application to demolish two of the four walls and install between the remaining two an ‘urban park’ flanked by colonnades. If the application succeeds, Sir Terry would not own the rights to the development, which would be sold to whoever buys the site – and, presumably, hires Sir Terry and Partners.
